Childbirth Classes

You’re pregnant in the time of COVID-19  and your experience is not what you always expected. Your birth and your baby cannot be rescheduled, and they aren’t waiting for the vaccine. For you, staying home doesn’t solve all of your worries.

In a time of uncertainty, knowing what’s coming can be the difference between anxiousness, and absolute calm.

You want to control the things that you can right now. You can absolutely enter into your birth prepared and informed.

Take a virtual childbirth class.

And if you’re looking for a class specifically taught by a Black doula, you’re in the right spot. We know that there are special considerations for Black women, families of color and our babies right now.

We are prepared to do more than just teach you what to expect during birth, and at labor and delivery in the hospital. We will also address concerns about communicating with hospital staff that may not look like you, or fears about maternal mortality or infant mortality. Our class is a safe space for you to learn.

You’ll sign up at the Breastfeeding center website, register and pay there.

Our classes are taught through The Breastfeeding Center.

You’ll register directly through them, and learn from a DC Metro Maternity expert.

Class is $200, and includes a pregnant student and 1 support person.

CLIENT STORY

My husband and I had a great time learning with Samantha. She was a delight to talk to since the beginning, really listening to us and our needs and concerns.

The class was fun and light and she made sure to check throughout in order to make sure we were getting as much info possible. During my birth experience her advice came in handy. I definitely recommend her.
