Are professional, compassionate, responsive and self-motivated.
Have a goal of making doula work a significant source of income while supporting families in DC, MD and Virginia.
Are trained and certified or willing to obtain a certification through a reputable doula certifying body.
Have a desire to work in a team model.
Are in alignment with our company values and have a passion for supporting families regardless of birthing decisions or parenting philosophies.
We work collaboratively with all members of our clients’ support teams including medical providers. We serve all families regardless of race, faith, sexuality, gender identity, marital status, age, immigration status or family configuration. We prioritize serving marginalized families (with a focus on black women and all families of color). Those interested in promoting a single type of birth, parenting, family etc. need not apply.

Consistent availability for doula work is a requirement.

Postpartum & Infant Care Doulas must have schedules with flexibility and availability to support families.
Labor Doulas must have availability to be on-call for clients and be able to provide backup support to the team.
Strong preference given to those who are both labor and postpartum doulas.

We welcome doulas of a variety of races, faiths, sexualities, genders, economic backgrounds and countries of origin.
